Kamotsuru brewery in the late 19th century

1873 The founder Mr. Wahei Kimura named the sake “Kamotsuru”

1898 We Installed Japan’s very first power-driven rice-polishing machine

1917 Kamotsuru got Japan’s first honorary prize at the All Japan Sake Competition

1918 Kamotsuru Sake Brewing Co., Ltd. was established

1958 Pioneer of daiginjo sake, Daiginjo Gold kamotsuru was released
